Noise Risk Assessment (NRA)
The main objectives of carrying out Noise Risk Assessment are to determine the measurement of area exposed to excessive noise, noise contour, personal noise exposure monitoring and recommend appropriate control measure.
An employer must appoint, employ, or hire a competent person called the NRA to carry out a noise assessment in accordance with the standards set by the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH).
The NRA Risk Assessor (NRA) is the person responsible for conducting workplace noise exposure assessments as required under the Occupational Safety and Health (Noise) Regulations 2019.
