Job Opportunity – Accountant / Financial Analyst I

About the Job:

MAIN FUNCTIONS:

Provides analytical support in order to deliver financial results. Works with internal workers and external vendors to resolve issues and provide ad-hoc financial analysis. Prepares cost reports including forecasts/outlooks. Assists with allocation of funds for projects based on approved budgets and monitors project accounting. Validate invoices, expenditures and change requests impacting budgets. Identifies and implements improvements to cost management processes for greater efficiency and effectiveness. Position is a support role requiring more work direction whereby worker follows generally defined procedures. This position might be described as Junior Financial Analyst, who normally performs basic financial analysis and routine financial reports under high supervision.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial reporting, data analysis, financial systems, attention to detail.

Relevant Knowledge & Skills

More than 3 – 7 years experience and well versed in technical accounting, preference with external audit experience with 2 years in Lead Position.

Experience in ERP (SAP) R3
– Strong financial/business/controls analysis experience to support specific business lines or activities and/or corporate financial reporting to HQ as well as providing value added insights.
– Ability to perform analysis on the difference between financial numbers i.e. actual vs planned, including communicating stewardship results on timely basis.
– Provide guidance / advice on guidelines relating to accounting matters, controls & compliance
– Financial analysis tools user (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Advanced MS Excel/PowerPoint)
– Good interpersonal/communication skills both written and oral is a requirement.
