About the Job:

  • Plan and coordinate Geological Operations for Exploration & Development well drilling in Malaysia. In collaboration with Geotechnical and Drilling teams, the office-based Operations Geologist will help to plan and execute well operations. This will include overseeing service providers and Wellsite Geologists  while drilling operations are under way. The Operations Geologist will be responsible for delivering high-quality daily and final geotechnical reports and lithological logs (e.g. Composite Log) and help to ensure that daily and final  geotechnical reports and lithological logs (e.g. Composite Log) and help to ensure that pre-drill well objectives are met by coordinating between the development / exploration and drilling teams.   • Ensure Wellsite Geologists are competent and prepared for well operations.
  •  Ensure a high level of geotechnical service performance by briefing and auditing service providers.
  • Set measurement and reporting standard.
  • Coordinate between drilling and exploration team during well operations.
  •  Supervise Wellsite Geologists in delivering high quality records of events and lithology.
  •  Frequently meet with service provider representatives to address issues with equipment and deliverables.
  •  Check service invoices to ensure the company is correctly charged for Mud-logging, Wireline and LWD/PWD services.
  • Ensure services deliverables meet pre-defined company and government requirements. requirements.
  • Follow up and close out all geotechnical issues that were encountered during well operations.
  • Prepare and finalise Geological end of well report and lithological / composite log.
  • QC and populate the RWEB database in conjunction with the wellsite geologists.
  • Initiates and implements the drafting of the composite logs.
  • Assist exploration / drilling team in preparing end of well reports.
  • Provide budgetary input regarding Mud-logging, Wireline and LWD/PWD services.
  • Mentor Wellsite Geologists and in-house staff in Geological Operations and relevant interpretive techniques.

Scope:

Oversee Geological Operations of projects within Malaysia.

Knowledge: • A degree in Geology or Geophysics and knowledge of interdisciplinary geosciences. • A detailed understanding of drilling and related Geotechnical operations and procedures gained through extensive rig-site Geological experience. Experience:
  • Greater than 10 years experience in geotechnical wellsite operations and formation evaluation, gained via working as a mud-logger, LWD engineer,  or Wireline Engineer, and with five of those years as a wellsite geologist or related position. • Previous experience of office-based Operations Geology required. • Previous experience with carbonate drilling and evaluation required. • Previous experience with Pore Pressure and Fracture Gradient prediction required. • Previous experience in PMCD operations and evaluation required.
Skills: Attention to detail with record keeping of geotechnical well data and events. • Specific skills to include Pore Pressure and Fracture Gradient Prediction. • Strong interpersonal skills for collaborating between drilling personal, wellsite geotechnical staff, service providers and exploration team. • Ability to clearly communicate and address issues to peers, management and service providers. • An ability to work well in a team, combined with flexibility and adaptability are essential. • Excellent reporting and communication skills and an ability to express ideas and instructions clearly both orally and in writing are also essential.   • BS degree in engineering field.
  • More than 8 years’ experience in multiple assignments in engineering, construction, and project management and controls activities.
  • More than 5 years dealing with brownfield modification projects for oil & gas facilities.

MAIN FUNCTIONS

The Materials Coordinator will perform and/or manage all of the activities necessary to enable effective end-to-end coordination of materials in support of Projects. Acts as the interface between the business unit and procurement. Actively interacts with planning, inventory, vendors, buyers and maintenance on a daily basis by providing customer support, effective & timely communication, alignment with business practices/controls and a high level of materials and services fulfillment for site maintenance activities.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and working closely with onshore Material Coordinators (MC) on daily load-out requirement and materials call-out.
  • Liaise with Wells Engineers and MC for materials needed as per Wells program or contingency plan.
  • To assist the Wells Supervisor in the planning, scheduling and call out of required material.
  • To assist the Wells Supervisor to identify materials and 3rd party equipment including bulks for call-out or backload to KSB.
  • Update and maintain the materials inventory list at the Offshore site (HWU/Rig/Platform) for materials in, out and RIH.
  • To raise WBS material transfer request form.
  • Maintaining all documentation with proper and systematic filling.
  • Manage supply vessel requirements, raise all backload sheet and manifests to ensure all materials are correctly.
  • Work closely with Radio Operator on personnel movement.
  • Liaise with Logistics personnel, deck crew, and supply vessels for planning, offloading and back loading activities.
  • To prepare documentation for dangerous goods declarations, radio‐active sources and scheduled waste for sea transportation.
  • To ensure all wells equipment are available in time to avoid any delays and ensure equipment is returned in a timely manner.
  • To perform physical materials checking vs manifest when received from KSB.
  • Ensures Wells contractor’s materials are returned back in timely and report on condition, as necessary.
  • Ensure all materials have proper approval or valid documentation for storage.
  • Verify Company's Wells materials backload from offshore to KSB for re-stocking or junk.
  • Coordinate urgent materials call-out for immediate issue and approval by Well Ops Supervisor.
  • To tracking RIH of Company's equipment at offshore location.
  • Actively work with the KL Matco to ensure complete Well to Well management of the HWU/Rig inventory, and match the issued material for the well against the End of Well Report (EOW).
  • Responsible to ensure materials received offshore, utilized for (RIH) wells and returned to KSB are properly documented.
  • To perform Demand in IPES for all drilling and completions materials call-out from KSB.
  • Assist rig materials-man on requisition IPES/Demand reservation issue-out items from stock.
  • To create Load Out Request (LOR).
  • To prepare End of Well (EOW) report by each well within 15 days of completion of the well.
  • On completion of each Project, ensure that all Company & Contractor material are back loaded from the Rig/Wellsite.
  • Part of internal Audit Team for Wells Team.

• Serve as member of the Project Team (PT) when project assigned.

• Oversee the execution of fabrication, construction, and hookup.

  Ensure execution team comply with work processes, permits and able to drive workforce in term of safety, quality and productivity.

  Interface with PIC, platform maintenance, Construction Coordinator, Construction Supervisor and other functions to ensure smooth execution of work, priority, planning onsite and deliver per agreed plan.

Knowledgeable on Integrated Planning & Scheduling, P&ID & ISO drawing, multiple work activities and Work Management System (WMS).

Experience in coordinating monthly planning discussions with various workgroups; managing  changes to schedule and optimizing resources such as logistics and boats, construction support and platform bed space.

Consolidates and leads plans for minor outages such as a satellite SD, or a compressor SD to ensure all opportunities are captured, and different workgroup readiness and schedule is being stewarded.

                 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Knowledgeable on Shutdown Management System (SDMS) or equivalent.
  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent

MAIN FUNCTIONS

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Accountable to enhance and maintain the overall quality of Production Operations equipment at onshore third party repair facilities.  Need to understand the operation of mechanical equipment, electrical equipment and/or instrumentation, Low & High Voltage electric motor, generators.
  • Influence safety programs/practices at vendor repair facilities.
  • Ensure that electrical equipment condition monitoring field work is executed safely and in accordance with all applicable local regulations, specifications, procedures, plans, and best practices (vibration analysis, surge/megger tests, thermography, and operator checks).

  • Understand and knowledgeable on motor health test (e.g insulation resistance, continuity surge comparison, core leak test etc).
  • Certified Chargeman will be added advantage.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • More than 10 years' experiences in Electrical equipment (not limited to LV & HV electric motor, Gas Turbines, Pumps, Compressors and Gear boxes etc.) and static equipment.

This includes ensuring well integrity governance processes are in place and healthy, and ensuring organization blind spots are identified and managed. • Capable of mentoring and advising engineers working in this area, along with the broader organization to develop their technical skills in areas concerning wells. • Provide technical guidance/advisory support to Production/Wells Engineers in matters related to well integrity (risk screening/assessment of wells with defective barriers, diagnostics, and remediation plan). • Provide administrative oversight to the well integrity management space (preventive/corrective maintenance performance, annulus pressure bleed down performance, risk discovery health, etc.) • Provide strategic guidance in improving well integrity management processes (strengthening processes, improving efficiency, eliminating blind spots in risk discovery, and providing the organization and management team adequate line of sights of the broader well integrity issues) • Review well integrity KPIs (and improve on KPI metric as needed) to management team • Lead strategic improvement in overall wells space (corrosion management, valve failure remediation, new technology application etc.)

Must have skill sets: -Significant knowledge and experience in Well Control theory and equipment. -Experience with slickline, e-line, coil tubing operations, small & large scale workovers and well abandonment. -Expert in wellhead, tree and downhole equipment. -Experience with risk management, including governance of the well integrity processes/systems

Optional skill sets: -Experience with cased hole/open hole and sandstone completions; gravel pack, standalone screens, ICDs/AICDs -Able to perform detailed design review of equipment; leverage experts independently, e.g., V rating qualification, material/elastomer selection -Expert in wellhead, tree and completions/tubing design, strong ability in WellCat -Experience in well productivity/performance assessment, ability in software like Prosper preferable.

  • Degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • More than 15 years in well construction, intervention and well integrity practices.
