- Familiar with applicable industry related codes (API, ASME, ANSI, SAE, ASTM, ABS, DNV, SOLAS, IMO).
- Knowledge of Offshore Oil and Gas regulations Established tools and enabler to support the position functionality.
- Fluent in English and native language.
- Ability to travel offshore.
MAIN FUNCTIONS
Provide the engineering planning, design, surveillance, and follow-up required for the safe and efficient drilling and completing of drilling programs.
Ensure well objectives are met while assuring the highest standards of engineering integrity, safety, and environmental protection are applied.
Provide technical expertise on drilling engineering to the Operations and Development teams.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provide engineering support for Hydraulic Workover Unit (HWU) start-up, mobilization/demobilization and operations including budget preparation/stewardship and contract administration
· Maintain daily surveillance of HWU mobilization/demobilization, workover, completions and P&A operations including stewardship of well costs
· Provide well-site HWU operations surveillance and engineering support as necessary
· Assist Operations Superintendent on critical activities and problems, such as equipment failures, well problems and well control
· Work with Reservoir Engineer and Geologist to support preparation and deliverables of workover, completions and P&A plans
· Responsible for government regulatory requirements, approvals and permits
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Engineering degree with 10 years in the Oil & Gas industry and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with HWU operations
- Experience working with an operator in Malaysia including liaising with PETRONAS MPM as a Wells engineer is preferred
- Willing and able to travel to offshore locations to provide wellsite support
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal and written communication skills in English
- Demonstrate strong technical competencies and be expected to set and meet high standards

- Ability to provide leadership, adaptability and a commitment to high safety and ethical standards
